PILATES

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on the proper use of the core muscles, as well as strength, stability, and flexibility.

Instructors emphasize control, posture, and proper technique, making it an excellent practice for fitness, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.

A series of Pilates sessions or clinical rehabilitation exercises may be recommended by your main practitioner to complement your treatment plan.

Our clinic features 4 pieces of in-clinic equipment: cadillac table, ladder barrel, stability chair and a reformer, which can be used by our patients under the supervision and direction of our instructors.

Floor exercises on a mat may be more appropriate for your treatment, and an instructor can provide you with a series of stretches and exercises for you to complete at home between appointments.

If you’re interested in booking 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 Pilates sessions for fitness, please contact us to inquire about booking appointments with Lorissa. 45-minute classes are available in a private or semi-private setting.
