MASSAGE THERAPY

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy treats muscular discomfort throughout the body.

Our clinic provides remedial massage therapy as a compliment to physiotherapy or chiropractic treatment or as a standalone treatment for relaxation and stress relief.

Depending on your needs, your massage therapist may use a variety of techniques to reduce muscular tension, improve mobility, and increase circulation.

Massage therapy can be effective for children, adults, pre-and post-natal patients, pre-and post-surgical patients, and those who are seeking to augment the results of physiotherapy or chiropractic treatment.

Assisted Stretching

An Assisted Stretching session is a professional service facilitated by a Registered Massage Therapist and involved your practitioner moving your body through your full range of motion, helping you to stretch more deeply, safely. Assisted Stretching involves a mix of static and isolated stretching, contract/release techniques, Graston, and movement-based manual techniques that take affected tissues from a shortened to a lengthened position.

Assisted Stretching can improve your range of motion, flexibility, and posture, leading to improvements in daily functional movement, reduced tension, and pain relief. It can be a more concise, quicker alternative to a full body massage for patents with localized stiffness or pain.

This service takes place fully clothed in our open treatment space, and is available with Alesha Salsbury, RMT.
